No filter or sympathy needed. Today, I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. It feels a little like the end of the world. But it’s non-fatal and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger (or, in this case, slowly cripples you, but whatevs.) Why this photo? Because I accidentally took a blur of a photo while holding for the rheumatologist so I decided to take a focused one to capture the moment to share—because maybe next year, I will have recently set a new marathon PR, this will come up in my “On This Day,” and I will remember that time I was diagnosed with PsA & felt like my life was over. (at Playa Del Rey, California)
